The Al-Hilal’s Serbian international striker Aleksandar Mitrovic sustained a pivotal injury during the clubs’ Saudi Pro League match against fellow rivals Al-Shabab. The forward player had to be taken off the pitch within the first half of the match after being spotted pulling up with the ball at his feet. Reports further attest that after the concerned medical examinations, it has been attributed that Mitrovic has suffered a hamstring injury.

The recovery time from the aforesaid injury of the striker has been laid down as a minimum of six weeks. That means the Serbian forward would not be returning to on-field action anytime before May 15th 2024. This could be a huge blow to Al-Hilal in terms of how the remainder of the Saudi Pro League season would pan out for them as Mitrovic remains one of their most potent goal-scoring threat.
