David De Gea reacts Manchester United’s FA Cup final win

David De Gea has been without a club since last summer. But spending 12 years with Manchester United made the Madrid-born goalkeeper has a special section in his heart for United.

After United defeated Manchester City in the FA Cup final, De Gea posted a statement on his X account, digging about the true colour of Manchester. “Manchester is and always will be RED!,” he wrote, followed by the emojis of two red balls.

David De Gea was a champion

De Gea was one of the best goalkeepers in the history of the club despite winning only one league title. He won United’s 12th FA Cup trophy back in 2016 after beating Crystal Palace in the final.

Other trophy collections he won with United were two League Cup, three Community Shields, and one Europa League. The latter was his second collection after winning it for the first time with Atletico Madrid in 2010.

For The Red Devils, today’s triumph marked their 13th collection of the trophy. United currently sit behind Arsenal as the most successful side in the competition with winning it 14 times.
