Fantasy Premier League GW 6: Key Injury Updates and Team News

As the Premier League 2024/25 season reaches its sixth matchday, excitement builds among fans and Fantasy Premier League managers alike. With fresh injury updates emerging, here’s a comprehensive rundown of the latest fitness and availability details for all 20 Premier League clubs.

Arsenal

Leandro Trossard was handed a red card on Sunday against Manchester City and will serve a suspension this weekend. The likes of Ben White, David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber are doubtful, having been featured in the gruesome contest against City. Captain, Martin Ødegaard continues to recover from his ankle injury. He is joined by Mikel Merino, Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Oleksandr Zinchenko on the absentees list. That is quite a lineup of missing players for Mikel Arteta to deal with.

Aston Villa

Boubacar Kamara (Knee Injury), Jaden Philogene (Knock), John McGinn (Hamstring Injury), Matty Cash (Hamstring Injury), and Tyrone Mings (Knee Injury) are all ruled out from the trip to Ipswich Town. FPL managers will also have to factor in the availability of Robin Olsen who is doubtful due to a head injury.

Bournemouth

Dango Ouattara is back in training for the Cherries and available for selection. American midfielder, Tyler Adams remains the only name on the injury list. The 25-year-old is ruled out until late October. The rest of the squad is available at Andoni Iraola’s disposal.

Brentford

Thomas Frank has a plethora of absentees to deal with for the home encounter against West Ham United. Rico Henry, Aaron Hickey, Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Gustavo Gomes, Thiago Rodrigues, and Yoane Wissa are all injured and unavailable. Christian Nørgaard is uncertain due to a knock.

Brighton & Hove Albion

The Seagulls have a challenging encounter against an in-form Chelsea side to prepare for. They will have to negate the threat without the services of Brajan Gruda, James Milner, Joao Pedro, Matthew O’Riley, and Solly March.

Chelsea

Omari Kellyman and Romeo Lavia will remain on the sidelines, with both struggling with hamstring injuries. Fan-favourite, Reece James is also out due to a hamstring issue. The Englishman’s return is not certain, creating frustration within the club. Enzo Maresca, though, will have the option of playing Malo Gusto at right-back, as the 21-year-old returns to training.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace and Oliver Gasner will have to play Everton in the absence of Chadi Riad (Knee Injury), Cheick Doucoure (Toe Injury), Matheus Franca (Broken Rib), and Trevoh Chalobah (Leg Injury). The latter three are expected to be available in October while Riad is ruled out from action until December.

Everton

Everton will be up against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The Merseyside club is already struggling in the relegation zone and will be without Armando Broja, Jarrad Branthwaite, Nathan Patterson, Seamus Coleman, Vitalii Mykolenko, and Youssef Chermiti. Idrissa Gana Gueye will also not be available due to personal reasons.

Fulham

Fulham will have a relatively short injury list ahead of the trip to Nottingham Forest. Only Carlos Vinicius is out with a knock. The Brazilian is anticipated to be back in the coming days.

Ipswich Town

The newly promoted Ipswich Town will miss the services of Harry Clarke (Achilles Tendon Injury) and Kalvin Phillips (Thigh Injury). Welsh attacker, Nathan Broadhead is uncertain due to a hamstring injury suffered at the beginning of August.

Leicester City

Patson Daka and Jakub Stolarczyk suffer from ankle injuries and are long-term absentees for Leicester City. Steve Cooper has the rest of the players available at his disposal, barring any last-minute fitness woes.

Liverpool

Arne Slot confirmed the absence of Alisson Becker against West Ham United in the EFL Cup. The Dutch coach also reaffirmed the challenge of getting the Brazilian back in time for the Wolves game in the Premier League. Caoimhin Kelleher will fill in for Alisson. Harvey Elliott will also be out due to a broken foot.

Manchester City

The big game against Arsenal came at a huge cost for the defending champions. Manchester City will have to play out the rest of the 2024/25 campaign without its star midfielder and controller, Rodri. The Spaniard has suffered an ACL injury and will now undergo surgery. Nathan Ake is out until October while youngster, Oscar Bobb is planning for a comeback in January. Kevin De Bruyne is making positive progress and recovery from his groin injury but is not likely to be risked by Pep Guardiola against Newcastle United.

Manchester United

Lenny Yoro, Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, and Victor Lindelof will not be available at Erik ten Hag’s disposal when his Manchester United side host Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Mason Mount and Rasmus Højlund are expected to be handed a place on the bench as the pair make their long-awaited return from respective injury woes.

Newcastle United

Newcastle United will be playing Manchester City without four key players. Callum Wilson (Back Injury), Jamaal Lascelles (Cruciate Ligament Injury), Lewis Miley (Back Injury), and Sven Botman (Knee Injury) will not be a part of Eddie Howe’s squad for matchday six.

Nottingham Forest

Forest will have to exclude four players from the squad list against Fulham. Morgan Gibbs-White will sit out, having received a red card in the previous match against Brighton. Apart from him, Danilo (Broken Ankle), Willy Boly (Calf Injury), and Ibrahim Sangare (Knock) will also not be able to feature.

Southampton

Southampton will have to deal with the absence of the injured Gavin Bazunu, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Will Smallbone. Jack Stephens will serve a suspension while Juan Larios is doubtful due to some physical discomfort.

Tottenham Hotspur

Richarlison (Ankle), Wilson Odobert (Hamstring), and Will Lankshear (Hamstring) will miss the big game against Manchester United. Given his widespread ownership, Richarlison will be a big factor for Fantasy Premier League GW6 managers.

West Ham United

Niclas Fullkrug, who is battling a calf injury is the only worry for Julen Lopetegui for the game on Saturday against Brentford. His involvement is unlikely as the medical staff will not take any risks in light of the long season ahead.

Wolves

The long injury list of Wolves will certainly not help the club in the challenging match against Liverpool. Wolves will have to negate the absence of Enso Gonzalez (Knee Injury), Boubacar Traore (Knee Injury), Sasa Kalajdzic (Knee Injury), Toti Gomes (Hamstring Injury), Yerson Mosquera (Knee Injury), and Bastien Meupiyou (Knock).
