Hungary will host Turkiye in a friendly on Friday in the ongoing international break. Both sides have qualified for the UEFA Euro 2024 this summer, topping their respective groups in the qualifiers.

Turkiye, surprisingly, finished above Croatia in their group with five wins, two draws, and one defeat. Their group also included Wales, Armenia, and Latvia. They’ve been drawn in Group F at the Euro 2024 alongside Portugal and the Czech Republic. The final member of the group will be decided after the playoffs this month.

Hungary, meanwhile, topped Group G in the Qualifiers, comprising Serbia, Montenegro, Lithuania and Bulgaria. They were unbeaten, having five wins and three draws. They are in Group A at the Euros alongside Switzerland, and Scotland and host Germany.

Hungary are unbeaten in their last 12 games across competitions, having won seven of them. They beat Montenegro 3-1 in their last game and have put in solid performances recently.

Turkiye, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last four games and played out a 1-1 draw at Wales last time out after beating Germany 3-2. Turkey have performed brilliantly against some of the big teams in recent times but they have some key players missing.

Hence, it should be a tight affair with both teams also likely to test things about before the Euros this summer.
