Liverpool News: Steven Gerrard Happy Over Jordan Henderson’s Ajax Move, Jurgen Klopp Unlikely to be Next Germany Manager

Steven Gerrard on Jordan Henderson’s Ajax transfer

Former Liverpool player and current manager of Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, Steven Gerrard had something to say about Jordan Henderson’s departure from his Saudi club. The player-turned-manager demonstrated the fact that he is “glad” about Henderson’s decision to switch to Ajax after potential rumours of the player finding himself unhappy during his stay at Al-Ittihad and wanting to leave the club.

Steven Gerrard reportedly stated towards Jordan Henderson –

“Great guy, great player”. “But I’m glad he’s happy”.

Gerrard also pointed out that he spoke to the former Liverpool player on a phone call and further termed –

“He’s (Henderson) is all good. He’s happy and settled”.

From the words of the Al-Ittihad manager, it can be inferred that while he knows how crucial a player for his Saudi club Henderson could have been. But, seems happy about the fact that Jordan Henderson is doing well at Ajax and things have been fruitful for him after his move to the Dutch club.

As per recent reports, the rumoured linkup regarding Jurgen Klopp being the next manager of Germany may have fizzled out before even catching fire in the European football hierarchy. This is because it is termed that the German national team’s current manager Julian Nagelsmann is likely to extend his stay as the team’s manager.

However, any official announcement regarding Julian’s new contract is yet to be made by Germany’s team management. Even after Jurgen Klopp himself hinted that he would not be interested in any imminent managerial stint either at the club or country level after his exit from the Reds for the time being, rumours have continued to link his name with managerial roles at FC Barcelona and the German National side.
