Liverpool vs Chelsea Player Ratings as Conor Bradley shines, Sterling disappoints, Nkunku scores at Anfield

Liverpool continued their brilliant run this season, hammering Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday, January 31. The Reds extended their lead to the top of the table to five points while the Blues dropped down to 10th.

Liverpool opened the scoring in the 23rd minute via Diogo Jota before youngster Conor Bradley made it 2-0 in the 39th minute. Dominik Szoboszlai (65’) then added a third for his side before Christopher Nkunku (71’) got one back for Chelsea. Luis Diaz then completed the scoring in the 79th minute.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are now unbeaten in their last 11 games across competitions. Meanwhile, Chelsea have lost two of their last five games.

Liverpool Player Ratings:

Alisson Becker (6/10)

The Brazilian No. 1 made two saves and completed 30/35 passes. He completed 2/7 long balls and conceded one goal.

Conor Bradley (9/10)

The 20-year-old right-back was phenomenal against Chelsea. He scored one goal and provided two assists.

Bradley won 8/11 duels, completed 25/31 passes, and made three tackles.

Virgil van Dijk (6/10)

The Dutchman made one clearance and two interceptions and completed 57/64 passes. Van Dijk won 4/5 duels and was arguably lucky to get away with two penalty shouts for the Blues.

Ibrahima Konate (7/10)

Konate put in another solid display, winning 3/4 duels, completing 53/65 passes, making two tackles and two clearances.

Joe Gomez (7/10)

Gomez put in another good shift at left-back. He made three tackles and one clearance, won 4/6 duels, and completed 35/40 passes. He also made two key passes.

Dominik Szoboszlai (7/10)

Liverpool’s summer signing put in another excellent shift, topping it off with a goal. He completed 39/43 passes, won 3/7 duels, made two key passes but also lost possession 16 times.

Alexis Mac Allister (7/10)

The Argentine continues to impress in his less preferred No. 6 role this season. He completed 66/72 passes, won 11/20 duels, made eight tackles, and one clearance, and also made one key pass.

Curtis Jones (6.5/10)

Jones had a decent outing but couldn’t create a big impact. He completed 40/45 passes, made one key pass, and won 3/10 duels.

Jota netted his fourth goal in four games for Liverpool across competitions on Wednesday. He completed 18/31 passes and 2/3 dribble attempts. He also made one key pass and won 5/11 duels.

Darwin Nunez (6/10)

Nunez was a big threat throughout the game but lacked the clinical edge again. He provided an assist but missed two big chances, hit the woodwork four times, and also missed a penalty.

Luis Diaz (8/10)

Diaz has certainly found his form back and registered one goal and one assist against Chelsea. He completed 30/38 passes, made two key passes, had three shots, and won 4/6 duels.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (6/10)

Alexander-Arnold returned after his injury, coming on in the 68th minute for Conor Bradley. He completed 20/21 passes, made two clearances, and won 2/3 duels.

Cody Gakpo (6/10)

Gakpo replaced Jota in the 68th minute and had two shots, completed 13/14 passes, made two interceptions and won 2/4 duels.

Andrew Robertson (6/10)

The youngster replaced Dominik Szoboszlai in the 69th minute. He completed 18/18 passes, made one key pass and won 1/2 duels.

Bobby Clark (6/10)

He replaced Curtis Jones in the 83rd minute but couldn’t create much of an impact.

Djordje Petrovic (7/10)

Petrovic conceded four goals but stopped it from being more, making nine saves against Liverpool. He also completed 9/18 passes.

Axel Disasi (6/10)

He made four clearances one interception and one 3/5 duel. Disasi completed 66/70 passes and lost possession six times.

Thiago Silva (6/10)

Silva made eight clearances, and one interception. He won 1/3 duels and completed 73/76 passes.

Benoit Badiasihle (6/10)

He completed 58/65 passes, won 4/7 duels, and made 11 clearances and one tackle. He also gave away a penalty, which Darwin Nunez missed.

Ben Chilwell (5.5/10)
