Manchester United 7-0 Barnsley Player Ratings as the Red Devils march on to the next round of Carabao Cup

Manchester United ran riot at Old Trafford to defeat Barnsley with a heavy scoreline of 7-0. All the players in the team looked in a mood to have a blast on the pitch and so did they. Several players put their names on the scoresheet which include Marcus Rashford, Christen Eriksen, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho. Manager Eric Ten Hag had made eight changes from the side that defeated Southampton during the weekend with Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer making their debut for the club.

United looked pretty much under control at all points of time in the match as Rashford did not fail to open the scoring with 16 minutes into the game and Antony converted a penalty. Before the half-time Garnacho increased the scoreline taking it to 3-0.

As the second half started misery piled up Barnsley as with every passing second was made difficult by the hosts. Garnacho grabbed his second with just four minutes into the second half and Rashford added another at the 58th minute before Eriksen ended with a brace.

Barnsley’s defence was all over the place and Eriksen took advantage of that with an eagle-eyed ball over to the Argentinian who practically ran the whole of the half unchallenged in behind before netting it home. Substitute Bruno Fernandes also had a great display recording two assists.

Let’s have a look at Manchester United vs Barnsley Player Ratings.
