Paul Pogba has been offered an alternative amid his suspension following a failed drug test scandal. Broke Boys sporting director Artjom Chatjaturjan said his urges that he was serious about the move.

“It may seem like a joke, but we called him,” he said to Tuttosport. “So far he has politely refused. He is in a desperate moment and needs time to accept it. Pogba is one of the best footballers in world won’t be able to play for that long.”

The 2018 World Cup winner has been banned for four years for a failing drug test. Pogba will have to wait until at least he is 35 to be able to back on the pitch. He is reported to appeal the court’s decision but things are getting more complicated as Juventus consider to terminate his contract.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri regretted the scandal. But he refuse to give a further comment regarding a decision to one of his best players during his managerial career in Juventus

“Football loses an extraordinary player”, Allegri said prior to Napoli game. “I can’t comment on the ruling, I leave that to the bodies responsible for it. Personally I am very sorry for him, because Paul is a very good person.”

Popgba returned to Juventus in the summer of 2022 after Manchester United terminated his contract in June that year. At that moment, Pogba thanked all the people in the club, saying that he had a lot of  “beautiful moments” with the Old Trafford-based club.

Two weeks after being announced returning to Turin, Pogba suffered an injury setback, reporting to the medical team about the pain in his knee. The injury made him unavailable for the pre-season in Dallas, Texas.

“After complaining of pain in his right knee, Paul Pogba underwent radiological examinations that revealed a lesion of the lateral meniscus,” the club explained via Goal. “In the next few hours he will undergo a specialist orthopaedic consultation. Therefore, in order to continue treatment, he is not taking part in the trip to Dallas.”

The announcement of Pogba failing the drug test initially came in November last year. The player’s representative Rafaela Pimenta said that her side are examining the case, urging that Pogba would never cheat over his fitness.

“We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can’t say anything. The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules,” Pimenta said.

In October 7, Nado Italia announced that Pogba violated the the rules of using a prohibited substance. Italian anti-doping body confirmed Pogba’s B sample tested positive.
