Cristiano Ronaldo was selected for Portugal’s Euro 2024 squad, meaning he will compete in his eleventh major international competition.

With 14 goals to his credit, The 39-year-old leads the tournament in goals scored (14) and match participation (25). Despite his team’s failure to win the league this season—Al Nassr—he tops the scoring charts in the Saudi Pro League with 33 goals and 11 assists.

Ronaldo’s selection is a historic moment because it will be his sixth appearance in a European Championship—a record he now holds alone.
