However, both players trail the record holder, Ryan Giggs, who amassed 162 assists during his illustrious career at Manchester United.

Notably, De Bruyne’s assist to Joško Gvardiol wasn’t his first this season, as he previously set up the youngster during a victory over Nottingham Forest.
