Real Madrid 3-2 Deportivo Alaves player ratings as Los Blancos survive late scare to secure three points

Real Madrid continued their winning ways in the La Liga after they survived a last scare to secure three points against Alaves. Kylian Mbappe extended his scoring streak to six goals in five matches which was his seventh since joining Madrid. This victory moved Madrid a point away from the league leaders Barcelona.

Lucas Vazquez opened the scoring for the Los Blancos after an assist from Vinicius Junior. With the five minutes left of regulation time in the first half Kylian Mbappe doubled the score line. Rodrygo Goes ensured the third by just slotting an angled shot coolly past his defender and a diving Sivera.

After the eighty-minute mark things turned nervy for Real Madrid as Alaves pulled to back and were looking adamant to spoil the party for the whites. Protesoni scored and assisted one to keep the visitors hope till the last minute but Real held on to avoid an equaliser and an embarrassing surrender.

Ferland Mendy: 6.4/10- The French Centre-back had a good game on the left side of the defence as he recovered four balls for his team and also helped the team in attack at times.

Antonio Rudiger: 6.7/10- He was a little nervous at the end of the game as the team conceded two goals. He maintained a 98 percent passing accuracy and was involved in six defensive actions.

Eder Militao: 7.4/10- He capped a solid display at the heart of the defence maintaining a 94% accurate passing and was involved in eight defensive actions for his team and recovered five balls. He also helped the team with five clearances.

Lucas Vazquez: 8.5/10- The right-back scored the first goal for the team. He had a great game as he not only scored but also defended well. He also gave an assist.

Midfielders

Jude Bellingham: 8.1/10- The English midfielder had a good game as he was constantly exerting pressure along with the front three. He created two chances for his team and was effective in attack for the side.

Aurelien Tchouameni: 6.8/10- He capped a good team display at the heart of the midfielder. He was orchestrating the play well with contributions both in defence as well as in attack.

Federico Valverde: 7.3/10- He maintained 95 percent passing accuracy during his time on the pitch. He contributed well in attack with six passes into the final third and also intercepted the opposition in four occasions. He was shown a yellow card after an alaves defender grappled with him and tugged on his shirt before hitting the deck.

Vinicius Junior: 7.2/10- The Brazillian winger had a great game on the left wing with three shots on target. He also provided an assist to Lucas Vazquesz’s goal in the first minute. Given a yellow card in the 30th minute for suspected playacting.

Kylian Mbappe: 8.0/10- Scored the second goal for Real Madrid at the 40-minute mark. It was a moment of magic brought about by Jude Bellingham as he passed on to Mbappe inside the box before the Frenchman ducked around a defender and slotted it home.

Rodrygo: 8.2/10- Scored the third goal just after the second half started. He robbed the visitors and he went down the right wing to slot an angled shot past a defender and the goalkeeper. Apart from that he had a total of two shots on goal.

Substitutes

Luka Modric: 6.4/10- The midfielder had somewhat a good game. He replaced Federico Valverde at the 69th minute.

Endrick: 6.3/10- He replaced Rodrygo and was having an impact from the right wing. He also was changing his position with Mbappe at times to confuse the visitors. He had two shots on goal during his time on the pitch.

Arda Guler: 6.3/10- The right winger came on to replace Kylian Mbappe. He came on at a time when Madrid was looking to see the game out so did not have many opportunities to showcase his talent.

Jesus Vallejo: 6.1/10- He replaced Eder Militao around the 80-minute mark and did not have a great game as the Los Blancos conceded two goals after he came onto the pitch.

Carlo Ancelotti: 7/10- Managed the game well tactically and slowly brought Real Madrid back on track and getting used to the absence of Toni Kroos. He would have wanted to bring on Jacobo rather than Fran, but the two goals from Alaves made him change that decision.

Santiago Mourino: 6.3/10- He had a decent game coping with Vinicius Junior on the left wing. He was involved in 11 defensive actions and recovered six balls for his team.

Manu Sanchez: 5.5/10- The Spanish left-back had a disastrous game as he found it difficult to cope with the attacking pressure that was put on by the star-studded front three of Real Madrid. Apart from defence he also tried to contribute to attack.

Midfielders

Hugo Novoa: 7.1/10- The right midfielder had a good game. Despite not taking any shot he created a chance and was very cruical in managing Vinicius from the left wing and helping the team in the build-up.

Tomas Conechny: 6.7/10- The midfielder had a decent game on the left as he had four shots on goal out of which one was on target. He created a total of two chances for his team.

Antonio Blanco: 6.2/10- The former Real Madrid midfielder had an average game as he tried to control the midfield but was completely outplayed by Tchouameni from the opposite side.

Carlos Protesoni: 8.4/10- After the 80-minute mark he had a clutch game pulling off two goals back and were looking to spoil the party for the reigning champions. He scored the first goal while giving an assist for the second goal.

Attackers

Luka Romero: 6.9/10- The 19-year-old striker did not have a good game as he was absent for most of the time. He had only one shot which was blocked by a defender.

Asier Villalibre: 6.5/10- The Spanish striker did not have much of the chances during his time on the pitch as neither he was able to create a chance not take a shot on the goal.

Jon Guridi: 6.5/10- Abdelkabir Abqar was replaced by him at the start of the second half. He had an average game but created two chances for his team.

Ander Guevara: 7.2/10- He was brought on by the manager at the 60th minute to replace Antonio Blanco. Provided the assist for the first goal of Alaves. He had created a lot of impact since coming on to the game.
