Richarlison Injury: Will the Forward Player be Available for Brazil in the Copa America?

Richarlison has been a key player for Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur in the 2023-2024 Premier League season. The Brazilian provides the Premier League club with an outlet in front of the goal. He’s a fantastic finisher when it comes to getting on the end of crucial crosses into the box. However, Richarlison’s injury in one of the Spurs’ league outings put his Copa America participation for Brazil in doubt.

Richarlison Injury- the forward suffered a knee injury while playing for Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League fixture against Wolves (Wolverhampton Wanderers). Spurs lost that fixture 0-2 at the own backyard. Following the match, the club’s manager Ange Postecoglou revealed that the forward player had picked up an injury that later resulted in him being out for around four weeks from on-field action.

However, in one of his most recent interviews, Richarlison is hinted towards his return to the field after recovery from his knee injury. He also pointed out that he is working hard to be ‘ready’ to play for Brazil in the Copa America 2024. On the other hand, the player’s injury was never that serious to stop him from participating in the major tournament as there’s still a decent time left for it.

Richarlison made his debut for Brazil on the international stage in September 2018. Since his arrival on the biggest stage for his country, he has proved to be a whole-hearted performer for them. The 26-year-old has earlier played for the Brazilian Under-20 side as well.

In his 54 matches for Brazil, Richarlison has netted a respectable sum of 25 goals. His attacking instincts serve the team well when he plays alongside players like Neymar Jr., and Lucas Paqueta. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Brazilian forward in terms of his international career.
