Uruguay 0-0 Paraguay player ratings as La Celeste held in Luis Suarez’s last match

The match between Uruguay and Paraguay ended in a stalemate after a great contest as both teams tried their best out bring out a result. This match was the last official appearance for former Barcelona forward, Luis Suarez as he had already announced his retirement prior to the match. Marcelo Biesla’s side was without five players from their starting line-up including Darwin Nunez, suspended due to involvement in clashes with fans following the defeat to Colombia in the Copa America 2024.

In the game, Uruguay wasted several chances as Suarez hit the woodwork in the first half after a cross from Facundo Pellistri. On the other hand, Paraguay were also promising as they had chances with Miguel Almiron after being denied by Uruguay’s goalkeeper, Sergio Rochet.
