Usain Bolt unfazed by questions of Cristiano Ronaldo beating him in a race

Bolt undoubtedly is the fastest human on the planet, holding the 100m record, but is it fair to compare him with the quickest footballer?

Once Bolt was quizzed on whether he would win a race against footballing icon Cristiano Ronaldo and his response was quite interesting.

The retired Jamaican sprinter is still the record holder in both 100 and 200 meters respectively.

Moreover, being an eight-time gold medalist, Bolt has always been a huge fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and when asked if he would race him in a 2020 interview, he claims Ronaldo would be a threat over a short distance.

“For me, he works out every day. He’s a super athlete, you know what I mean?”

“He’s always on top of his game. He works hard, he’s focused.

“So right now, I definitely think he’s faster than me.”

Though Ronaldo is still playing with Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, Bolt chose to bow out of elite running at the age of 31.

From 2008 to 2016, Bolt competed in athletics, but is still renowned as one of the best athletes of all time due to unmatched achievements on the track.

A recent 3D simulation just showed how the race with Ronaldo was and the results were not so surprising.

The 37-year-old got cozy at home ahead of the former Real Madrid star, but it was an animal that was quickest in the group.

The video showed how fast an ostrich would run alongside Bolt and Ronaldo, with the former coming first.

Both Bolt and Ronaldo have a long-standing association with Manchester United, with the latter last playing for the club in November 2022.

“For me, it is sad to see him go,” Bolt told Sky Sports upon the 39-year-old’s exit from Old Trafford.

“He played such an important role for us last season.

“I think he kept us in the Premier League because in a lot of the games he was the one that scored, kept us in it, and got us three points.
