According to reports, Osimhen will be back in action for Napoli’s visit to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Partenopei are currently 7th in the Serie A rankings and will need to earn some points to gain ground on the likes of Bologna who are seven points above them in the fourth place.

The elite forward who’s expected to make a move this summer has bagged 13 goals and 4 assists from 24 games this season.

Arsenal, and Chelsea targeting Victor Osimhen this summer

Premier League club Chelsea have earmarked Osimhen as their next big target in the summer transfer window and are ready to meet the striker’s mammoth  €130m price tag. The Nigerian forward has signed a new contract until the summer of 2026. Pochettino is desperate to add some firepower at the start of the new campaign.

Other English clubs like Arsenal, Newcastle United and Manchester United are also keen to make a move for the Nigerian hitman and it would be interesting to see if any Premier League clubs fork out the €130m transfer fee this summer.

Newcastle United have failed to reach the standards they did last season but would be hesitant to trigger €130m release clause in the summer.

On the other hand, PSG have emerged as the frontrunner for the Napoli forward who are keen to add a lethal striker as Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid next season. The French will be competing with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea for the Nigerian’s signature.

Last month Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed that Osimhen has a ‘high’ release clause in his new deal.

“He has a release clause. I can confirm there’s a release clause, a very high one. Who knows who will leave? We will see. The money is the last problem for Napoli. We always made very good acquisitions as we did in the past. We will do [so] in the future. The problem is just sentimental problems. When you see a player leave, it’s like a son. You are also happy if this son has a fantastic success everywhere else.”
