Willian Estevao Transfer: Palmeiras youngster responds to Chelsea rumors

Brazilian and Palmeiras youngster Willian Estevao responds to the rumour suggesting him going to Chelsea next season. The 17-year old admitted that his focus at the moment is still on Palmeiras and helped the team to reach another trophy this season.

Palmeiras are competing in Copa Libertadores and Brasileirão Série A. The latter has been won for the last two seasons and Willian aimed to win the third one consecutively. Meanwhile, in Copa Libertadores, the ‘Periquito’ are topping the Group F with 10 points from three victories and one draw.

Willian Estevao Transfer: He still got his head with Palmeiras

The transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on his X post, saying that Willian is not thinking about the London-based team at the moment. Romano wrote “Chelsea? My head today is 100% focused on Palmeiras,” Romano wrote, reenacting the player’s comment regarding the rumour.

“I don’t think of these things, they’re secondary. I think of helping Palmeiras and trying my hardest to bring them glory”.

Willian made his debut for the senior team when he was 16 and this season, he has appeared in 19 games across the competition, scoring seven goals. The Sao Paulo-born is not the only Palmeiras hot prospect this year as his teammate, Endrick has been announced to join Real Madrid this summer.

Both players have been an important part for Palmeiras’ glory for the past two seasons, winning the league two seasons in a row. Currently, they sit sixth at the league table, collecting five points from eight games.
