Paige Bueckers has always been vocal about her admiration for Kyrie Irving. Irving is one of the best point guards the league has ever seen. Hence, Paige looking up to Kyrie is no surprise, given she had expressed similar admiration in the past as well. When a reporter asked Paige Bueckers about the same, she replied, “I would like to see Kyrie [Irving] at a game for sure.”
It is quite possible that Kyrie Irving could in-fact pull up to a Dallas Wings WNBA game soon enough. Irving, a nine-time All-Star, is currently rehabilitating from a torn ACL injury on his left knee. As of now, his availability for the 2025-26 season for the Dallas Mavericks is still unknown. Paige Bueckers had suffered from the same injury in 2022, which led her to miss her junior season at UConn.

The city of Dallas was overjoyed to have Paige Bueckers in their WNBA team. Paige Bueckers NBA hero, Kyrie Irving, also plays for the city of Dallas in the NBA, representing the Dallas Mavericks. Now, with Paige being the newest sensation in town, Kyrie had to take the lead in welcoming the young gun in the warmest manner possible.
Kyrie Irving was at New Jersey during the WNBA draft this year, rehabilitating from an ACL tear on his left knee. In a video message addressed to Bueckers, Kyrie said
"Peace, Paige. I just wanted to take the time out to congratulate you on being drafted and especially to the Dallas Wings. I'm so excited for your journey ahead. I was so happy and proud of you, the way you carried yourself throughout all your obstacles and challenges... I am so happy that you are going to be right down the street... Kyrie Irving is most likely to take up his player option for the 2025-26 season with the Dallas Mavericks. Though Irving's return to the floor still remains uncertain, he sure might show up courtside to watch Paige hoop in the W.
