Before appearing for college, Sedona Prince had injured her right leg in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. Her mother, Tambra accused that the Texas Longhorns trainers pushed her daughter for exercise during recovery. It caused a fatal infection that required a greater amount of antibiotics for treatment. So, Sedona then took a transfer to the University of Oregon.

She wanted to play in the 2019-20 through the hard waiver, but she was denied. Later on, she played in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 season to ultimately miss the 2022-23 season due to her elbow injury. Prince averaged 10.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in her second and 9.3 points and 4.9 rebounds in her third season with the Oregon Ducks.
