AB de Villiers reminded fans of his impressive, explosive batting skills in the recently concluded World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025 match. In match 8 at Grace Road, Leicester, he scored an unbeaten 116 runs from just 51 balls and helped his team chase down the target of 153 runs, defeating the England Champions by 10 wickets.

The Proteas won the match by 10 wickets with an impressive knock from De Villiers and support from Hashim Amla, who stayed unbeaten on 29. England Champions batted first and scored 152/6 in their innings. De Villiers made the target look small with his incredible batting and unbeaten knock, which left his fans questioning his early retirement.

De Villiers hit powerful and smart shots during his innings, proving his name 360° covering all sides of the ground. He played cover drives, pull shots, reverse sweeps, and lofted shots over the field using every part of the ground, making it look like a buttery innings.
