Meanwhile, Bangladesh women cricket team continued their hard work and qualified for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. It is a big achievement for them as they will face some of the best women's cricket teams in the world.

Bangladesh Qualify for ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026

The TL-W vs BAN-W Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers went in the favor of Bangladesh women's cricket team as they continued their winning run in the in the Super Six stage. The victory helped them secure qualification for the main tournament. Interestingly, the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in England and Wales in this year, which will feature some of the best women cricketers in the world.

Bangladesh women T20 World Cup qualification came after their wonderful win against Thailand. Sobhana Mostary and Juairiya Ferdous shone with the bat, scoring 59 and 56 runs respectively, helping their team to put up a fighting total of 165 runs one the scoreboard.

In reply, Thailand women could only score 126 runs after losing eight wickets in 20 overs. Fast bowler Marufa Akter was the star with the ball, as she picked up three wickets while conceding only 25 runs in her four overs.

Bangladesh's Incredible Run in ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifiers 2026

Bangladesh had an excellent run in the Women's T20 World Cup qualifiers. They topped the group stage defeating beating the United States, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, and Ireland in Group A. They still have two matches to play in the Super Six stage and if they even lose their remaining matches, they'll still remain in the top four, thanks to their magnificent net run rate of +1.150, which is the best in the tournament.

Apart from Bangladesh, the Netherlands women have also qualified for the World Cup and it's going to be their first-ever appearance in the marquee tournament, set to be played in June-July this year. It will be an excellent opportunity for all these teams to participate in such a mega event.
