Bangladesh T20 World Cup Squad Out, Litton Das Captain Announced

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday, January 4, announced the 15-member squad of the Bangladesh Cricket Team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The mega event will be played in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. The Bangladesh Cricket Team will be captained by Litton Das at the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. They have quite a few experienced players in the side, which makes them a top team for the tournament.

Bangladesh have a pretty balanced bowling lineup with both pace as well as fast bowling departments having big names. Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed will be the two frontline pacers, while Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed and Rishad Hossain will be spinners. Bangladesh Schedule for the T20 World Cup 2026

Bangladesh are placed in Group C of the T20 World Cup 2026 and has tough competitors along with them in England, the West Indies, Italy, and Nepal. They will play their tournament opener on the first day against the West Indies on February 7 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Bangladesh will then take on Italy on February 9, followed by a clash against England on February 14. Their last game will be against Nepal on February 17. If they manage to finish in the top two positions, then they will move ahead to the Super 8 round.

Bangladesh have played every single edition of the T20 World Cup. But haven’t been able to make a mark. They never managed to qualify for the semi-finals or beyond and would be hoping to turn things this time around. Although they are scheduled to play all their games in India, their political tensions with India might see their games being moved out of India.
