BCCI Women's Targeted Camp 2026: Full Schedule & Players to Watch

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been taking several steps to improve grassroots-level cricket in both men's and women's cricket. Recently, the BCCI Emerging Men’s Tournament 2026 concluded, which took place from July 6-24, 2026, at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, to have a set of players to work on for the longest format of the game, as the men's team has been struggling in Test cricket in the past.

Similarly, India Women have been seen struggling to find a touch in the shortest format of the game, where they were not even qualified for the semi-finals in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. BCCI has announced the specialised BCCI Women's Targeted Camp 2026 in August to focus on women's cricket in the T20 format. BCCI Women's Targeted Camp 2026 Schedule

The BCCI Women's Targeted Camp 2026 is set to take place from August 3, 2026, to August 27, 2026, at the best cricket facilities of the Indian Cricket ecosystem, the BCCI COE. This targeted camp will take place for over 3 weeks, just like a similar camp took place at the BCCI COE from May 19 to June 2. As this is a specialised camp and not a tournament, there won't be any specific schedule, as only the proposed dates of the camp are available, i.e., August 3, 2026, to August 27, 2026.

The main purpose of this camp is to work on the future of Indian women's cricket by bringing consistent performers of senior domestic cricket and emerging talent together and keeping them ready for India A tours and later on the senior Indian women's team.

BCCI Women's Targeted Camp 2026 Players to Watch

As reported by The Telegraph, the camp will include some of India's best women's cricketers like centurion at Lord's Yastika Bhatia, pacer Kranti Goud, all-rounder Shreyanka Patil and almost the same India A T20 squad that toured England. However, the participation of Tanushree Sarkar is confirmed by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), along with Anushka Sharma, Shuchi Upadhyay & Vaishnavi Sharma from Madhya Pradesh.

The camp will provide advanced coaching, fitness, and skill development to players as well as monitor players' performance, workload, and overall development. Here are the other possible players to be part of the BCCI Women's Targeted Camp as per the India A T20 squad against England: Vrinda Dinesh, G Kamalini (WK), Uma Chetry, Prema Rawat, Purvaja Verlekar, Jintimani Kalita, Saima Thakor, Simran Bahadur, Shweta Sehrawat, Deeya Yadav, Minnu Mani, Shabnam Shakil, Tanuja Kanwer.
