The Women’s Premier League 2026 mega auction took place in New Delhi on Thursday, November 27, and one of the standout moments was the Delhi Capitals picking up Haryana’s 16-year-old prodigy Deeya Yadav for her base price of ₹10 lakh.

She became the Capitals’ sixth addition of the day, joining names such as Laura Wolvaardt, who is among the best women cricketers, as well as Chinelle Henry, Shree Charani, Sneh Rana and Lizelle Lee. She was listed among the uncapped batters, and Deeya has been opening the innings for both Haryana and the North Zone. She is known for her bold shot selection and attacking mindset. Her breakout at the senior level came in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy, where she became the backbone of Haryana’s batting order. Over eight innings, she smashed 298 runs at an average of 59.60, with a strike rate of 127.89.
