The Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has officially relaunched the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League after a year without action. The Sher-E-Punjab T20 League was introduced in 2023, and till now only two editions have been played, including the inaugural season. The news of the league's relaunch has been one of the most anticipated in the state of Punjab, as the league will once again be in action, having produced some of the best cricketers for the Indian Cricket Team.

On August 2, 2026, all the members of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) and the star players, including Shubman Gill, Arshdeep Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Prabhsimran Singh, announced the relaunch of the league at the press event at the New Chandigarh International Stadium, Mullanpur, Punjab. Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026 Schedule

The Sher-E-Punjab T20 League is scheduled to be played from August 30 to September 13, 2026, with the auction to take place on August 9, 2026. It has also been announced that there will be a total of two matches daily, where fans can come and watch the live action for free. Sher-e-Punjab T20 League venue will be the PCA New Chandigarh Stadium.

Sher-e-Punjab T20 League Squads

The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League auction is yet to take place, after which full squads will be announced. As of now, it has been announced that there will be six teams taking part in this season, where six franchises will be representing the main cities of the state: Mohali, Amritsar, Fazilka, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Bathinda.

The Sher-e-Punjab T20 League matches will be full of thrill and excitement with some of the best T20 batsmen in the world taking on the field. Sher-e-Punjab T20 League Auction

The auction of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League 2026 will take place on August 9, 2026. As per the auction rules of this season, the squad size of each team will be up to 20 players with a salary purse of ₹45 lakh. The base price of the players has also been set. Marquee players will be at ₹10 lakh, and the base price of icon players will be ₹1.5 lakh. However, other base prices include Punjab first-class cricketers at ₹1 lakh, U-23 players at ₹75,000, U-19 players at ₹50,000, and district players at ₹20,000.
