Asian Games Indian Cricket Team Squad

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian men’s cricket team for the Asian Games 2026. Shreyas Iyer has been appointed as India’s T20 captain, while Tilak Varma will serve as vice-captain. Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has also been included in the 15-player squad.

At just 15 years old, Vaibhav became the youngest player ever selected for an Indian team at an international multi-sport event. India’s leading fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has also been named in the squad for the Asian Games. Iyer, who is 31, takes over as India’s new T20 captain from Suryakumar Yadav after returning to the T20 setup. His last T20 International appearance came in December 2023.
