Harshit Rana Appointed Captain Midway Through IND-ENG Test Series

After a successful inaugural season of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), the second season of the league is set to kick off this year. A total of six teams played in the last season. However, the second season of the league will feature a total of eight teams. The tournament was organised by the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) and had a very successful campaign.

In a huge development, young fast bowler Harshit Rana has been given the captaincy duties for his team in the upcoming season of Delhi Premier League. Rana is a well-known name in Delhi's domestic circuit and has grown through the ranks over the last few years. Due to his capabilities, he has been given the leadership duties.

Which Team has made Harshit Rana Captain?

Harshit Rana was recently in England as part of the Indian team for the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. However he will be leading the North Delhi Strikers for the second season of DPL. The team announced the news through an Instagram post, which reads, “Harshit Rana to lead the North Delhi Strikers. It is with immense pride and excitement that we reveal the leader of the North Delhi Strikers for the upcoming season. A name that needs no introduction.”

Harshit Rana was part of the North Delhi Strikers in the previous season as well, but didn’t play a single match. However, as the second season of the league is likely to kick off in the first week of August, Harshit might be seen playing the entire season. They were defeated in the first semi-final last year by East Delhi Riders and fell one step short of lifting the title.
