The Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association has come up with a massive step for the women cricketers in the state. As per the reports in Cricbuzz, it is learned that the MPCA will be providing financial assistance to women cricketers who are not eligible for support from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the richest cricket board in the world.
How Madhya Pradesh Women Cricketers Can Avail 6000-12,500 INR Per Month?

MPCA's latest scheme has brought a sense of relief for various women cricketers in the state. It also encourages them to work hard and do well for the state as well as the country at the highest level. This is a significant improvement in the Madhya Pradesh women cricketers salary and can do allow more talents to pick up the sport.
What is New Payment Structure for MP Women Cricket Scheme?
The MPCA managing committee had a meeting on Monday and the decision was taken there. After the meeting, it was reported that in the current scheme, international cricketers will receive INR 12,500 per month, while domestic players will get INR 6,000 to 10,000 depending on various categories.
Not only this, but MPCA will also be giving INR 7,500 to those players who are above 75 years. The scheme will be effective from April 1 as the decision came in the wake of Karnataka State Cricket Association’s step to offer a monthly pension of INR 15,000 to women cricketers.
The women players who don’t meet these demands will now be rewarded by the MPCA. Mahanaryaman Scindia, the president of MPCA, while announcing the financial assistance, stated that it is their responsibility to ensure that their former women cricketers are respected.”
“Our former women cricketers have contributed immensely to the game in the absence of resources or any inspiring role models in those days and often without the recognition and support structures that exist today. It is our responsibility to ensure they are supported with dignity and respect," Mahanaryaman Scindia, told Cricbuzz.
Which Women Cricketers are Covered Under the BCCI?
Under the BCCI’s policy, former international women players get INR 52,500 per month, first-class women cricketers who retired before 2003 receive INR 45,000, while Test players who retired before December 31, 1993, and played more than 25 matches are given INR 70,000. Here is the full structure:

Apart from this, the BCCI also gives INR 45,000 as pension to players who played 50-74 matches up to the 2003-04 season, while women players with 75-plus matches are given INR 52,500 per month.
The latest decision by the MPCA will not only encourage the Madhya Pradesh women's cricket team to do well in the future but also opens the doors for other boards to follow the suit. This also comes on the back of India women's cricket team's historic World Cup win last year.
