ICC Announces IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2026 Match Date

In what has been the latest development, as per the reports in Revsportz, it is learned that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalised the schedule for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will be played from February 7 to March 8 in India and Sri Lanka.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 will see a total of 20 teams taking part, and the tournament will follow the same pattern as that was there in 2024. The league stage will be followed by the Super Eight, and then two semi-finals and the final.

The reports claimed that Mumbai is likely to host a semi-final on March 5, while the final is in Ahmedabad on March 8. The other semi-final will be played in Colombo if Pakistan or Sri Lanka qualify for that stage. It remains to be seen what will happen if Pakistan qualify for the final.

Ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, it was mutually decided that India and Pakistan will play their matches at neutral venues during the ICC and the ACC events of the current rights cycle. Hence, if Pakistan reaches the final, it is expected that the final will take place in Colombo as Men in Green are slated to play all their games there.
