Australia A Tour of India 2026: Full Schedule and Venues

The Board of Control for Cricket in India recently announced multiple venues and fixtures for Team India (Senior Women), India A, and India U19 bilateral series. India A men's 2026 home season will feature an exciting contest against Australia A, with the BCCI confirming a full series consisting of two multi-day matches and three one-day games in Puducherry.

The tour, scheduled between September and October 2026, is expected to become an important platform for young cricketers from both countries aiming to break into their senior national sides. However, it won't be easy for them to make it into the best cricket teams in the world due to tough competition.

India A vs Australia A Schedule 2026

The Australia A tour will begin with a four-day red-ball contest on September 22 before shifting to the one-day format in October. All five matches are scheduled to be played in Puducherry, with every game starting at 9:30 AM IST.

The series is expected to provide crucial exposure to young players in Indian conditions ahead of Australia’s senior tour of India for the 2027 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Which Youngsters Can Feature In The India A vs Australia A Series?

Several young players from the ongoing IPL 2026 are expected to be in contention for the Australia A tour of India 2026. For India, Rajasthan Royals batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become one of the strongest candidates after his explosive season, where the 15-year-old has shown capabilities of becoming one of the most dangerous batsmen in the world.

Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya is another major contender after his fearless power-hitting campaign, including a blistering 93 off 37 balls against LSG. Chennai Super Kings youngster Ayush Mhatre has also impressed selectors with impactful performances. He recently led the Indian team in the U19 World Cup, which ended up winning the tournament.
From the Australian side, PBKS' impressive all-rounder Cooper Connolly, who played key knocks for his franchise in the ongoing season, could feature in the tour. Apart from Connolly, Xavier Bartlett could be another inclusion in case he is not playing international cricket.
