BREAKING! India U19 Rewrite History Books With Record-Breaking Total

India U19 Cricket team registered their name in the history books with a record-breaking total in the opening match of Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 against the UAE U19 cricket team. The Boys in Blue were in scintillating form and thrashed the opposition bowlers all around the park.

India finished their innings on a record-breaking total of 433-6 in 50 overs on the back of some aggressive batting performances. They have now scored their highest team score in youth ODIs ever, surpassing the previous record of 425-3 which they scored in the year 2004. It is also the third highest total in youth ODIs.

India U19 Record Total in Under-19 Asia Cup

It wasn't an ideal start for the India Under-19 cricket team as they lost their captain Ayush Mhatre early. However, the young batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi stood at one end and tore apart the opposition bowlers to take India to a position of strength.

Suryavanshi stitched an important partnership of 212 runs for the second wicket with Aaron George. He completed his century off only 56 balls and went on to score 171 runs off only 95 balls. He smashed 9 fours and 14 sixes in the match before getting bowled by Uddish Suri. He missed the record of highest U19 score by an Indian in List A cricket by just six runs.

Despite his wicket, Indian batters kept batting with an attacking intent and took their team to a mammoth total. Vihaan Malhotra, Vedant Trivedi, Abhigyan Kundu, and Kanishk Chouhan all played with blistering cameos down the order to take India past 400 runs.

Which Team Has Scored Highest Team Score in Youth ODIs

The record for the highest U19 ODI score is still with Australia who scored 480-6 in 50 overs against Kenya in 2002. New Zealand are second on this list having scored 436-4 against the same opposition. India U19 records list shows the kind of players they have in the team.

India U19 cricket team's recent exploits have put them third on the list now. The Boys in Blue have a terrific batting line-up who are capable of becoming the most dangerous batsmen in the world. It remains to be seen how these players perform under pressure in the Under-19 World Cup 2026.
