India's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was unavailable for Sunday's third Twenty20 International against South Africa and India at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala. The Men in Blue put on a dominant display to grab a 2-1 lead in the series despite Bumrah's absence.

India all-rounder Shivam Dube gave an update on Jasprit Bumrah's availability for the fourth T20I against South Africa on December 17 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. But, unfortunately, the match was cancelled, and questions remain about his availability for the IND vs SA 5th T20I

"I think, probably, what I have heard is that he is coming for the match. (Jasprit) Bumrah is available, as far as I know. But exactly, I don't know what is 100% sure," Dube said in the pre-match conference.

During the toss time in IND vs SA 5th T20I, India captain Suryakumar Yadav confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah is back in the squad, replacing Harshit Rana. Team India is now leading the series, and Bumrah's return to the playing XI will be helpful for the team in order to strengthen the bowling unit, especially in light of South Africa's fearsome batting line-up. Bumrah is arguably the best T20 bowler at the moment and has the ability to perform in crunch situations.
