India Wicketkeeper Denied Entry into Lord’s! Here’s Why

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star Jitesh Sharma faced an unexpected problem during the third Test between India and England at Lord’s. The wicketkeeper-batsman was stopped by security guards and denied entry into the famous stadium in London.

The incident happened outside the Lord’s before the start of play during India's third Test against England. Jitesh Sharma, who recently played a key role in RCB’s IPL title win, found himself in an awkward and embarrassing situation. Despite being a known cricketer, the security personnel refused to let him in.

Jitesh Sharma was seen standing outside the stadium with the general crowd. According to eyewitnesses, he tried to explain who he was. But the security staff did not allow him inside. The exact reason for the denial is still unclear. It is believed that Jitesh either didn’t have the right ticket or was missing some important clearance.

Even after trying several times to explain his identity, Jitesh was not allowed to enter. He stood outside for a while, hoping someone would help him. The situation started to become quite uncomfortable for the cricketer. Jitesh Sharma Lords incident became a humiliating one for the cricketer. The video soon got viral on social media.

Who Comes to Jitesh Sharma’s Rescue?

Luckily, RCB mentor and former India cricketer Dinesh Karthik was also present at the venue. He is working as a commentator for the IND vs ENG Test series. Jitesh noticed Karthik walking by and called out to him several times, but Karthik didn’t hear.
Finally, Jitesh called Dinesh Karthik on the phone. After speaking to him, Karthik came back and spoke to the security team. The issue was quickly resolved, and Jitesh was finally allowed inside the stadium. It is to be noted that Karthik played a key role in Jitesh's transformation as a perfect finisher for RCB. Being the mentor, Karthik worked with Jitesh and helped him play a key role for RCB this season.

While Jitesh Sharma had a difficult moment outside Lord’s, the Indian team had a tough time inside as well. England defeated India by 22 runs in the third Test to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series. India were chasing 193 runs to win but fell short. They were bowled out for just 170 runs. It was a close and thrilling contest, but the hosts held their nerve in the end to go 2-1 up in the IND vs ENG Test series 2025.

Jitesh Sharma IPL 2025 Heroics

Jitesh Sharma was one of the heroes of RCB’s historic IPL 2025 win. He played 15 matches and scored 261 runs at a strike rate of over 175. His powerful hitting and finishing abilities in the lower order made a big difference for RCB this season. One of his best performances came against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. He scored an unbeaten 40 runs off just 19 balls to help RCB register their first win at that ground in ten years.

Later in the season, Jitesh smashed 85 not out off just 33 balls against Lucknow Super Giants. RCB chased a massive 228-run target in that game and sealed a place in the top two of the points table. In the final, Jitesh also played a quick cameo, scoring 24 runs off 10 balls to help RCB lift their first IPL trophy.
