The Kerala Cricket League (KCL) 2026 is set to bring another exciting season of franchise T20 cricket. It is organised by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), and the league was introduced in 2024 to provide a competitive platform for Kerala's best domestic cricketers. The 2026 edition is expected to feature the same six franchises: Alleppey Ripples, Calicut Globstars, Kochi Blue Tigers, Kollam Sailors, Thrissur Titans, and Trivandrum Royals.

One of the best wicketkeepers in India, Sanju Samson, has been named the KCL 2026 Tournament Icon by the Kerala Cricket Association. Although he will not play this season due to prior commitments, Sanju Samson will serve as the league's ambassador and support the development of young cricketers across Kerala.

The tournament is likely to follow a double round-robin format, with every team facing each other twice during the league stage before the top four teams advance to the playoffs. The knockout phase is expected to include Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Final. The Kerala Cricket League auction 2026 saw franchises make some big investments ahead of the new season. Alleppey Ripples spent ₹11.80 lakh to sign Sibin Gireesh, making him the costliest player in the auction. Calicut Globstars followed by acquiring Krishna Devan for ₹11.20 lakh, while experienced batter Sachin Baby was bought by Alleppey Ripples for ₹10 lakh.
