Wimbledon is said to be the pinnacle of Tennis. From veterans to young prodigies, players participate in the tournament to win the prestigious title. There have been many legends of the game who have won multiple Wimbledon titles, like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Martina Navratilova, among others. But the 2025 Wimbledon hasn’t just been about Tennis royalty. Many cricket stars have appeared in some games and stolen the spotlight from the court.

It’s not the first time cricket personalities have attended a Tennis tournament. In the past, there have been many instances when many cricketers have been spotted in the stands watching the Tennis elites playing against each other. Cricketers who are mostly from England or India have attended a lot of Tennis games. A lot of pictures and videos have also gone viral. Not just cricket, but even personalities from sports like Football, Autosport, and others are often seen in the stands.

Cricket Players at Wimbledon 2025

There have been six cricket players at Wimbledon 2025 as of now. And the most talked about among all is the former India captain Virat Kohli. The 36-year-old run-machine attended the Novak Djokovic vs Alex de Minaur Round of 16 match. He attended the match along with his wife, Anushka Sharma. The right-handed batter even posted an Instagram story, congratulating the Serbian Tennis star for his victory. Djokovic also reposted the story and thanked Kohli for the support.

India’s vice-captain in the Test format, Rishabh Pant, also attended a match at Wimbledon. Interestingly, Pant is currently a part of the Indian team who are in action for a five-match Test series against England. However, ahead of the third Test, which is set to begin on July 10, Pant took some time to witness the thrilling game of Tennis at Wimbledon. Apart from him, England star batter Joe Root was also spotted in the stands. He is also a part of the England Test team, playing against India in the ongoing Test series.

Non-Indian Players at Wimbledon 2025

Apart from them, former England legendary pace James Anderson and former West Indies legend Brian Lara were also spotted watching a game at Wimbledon. Anderson was recently seen in action in some of the matches in the County, and he was still looking good, bowling with great pace and good rhythm.

Anderson was accompanied by his former England teammate Joe Root. Both Anderson and Root arrived at Wimbledon with their respective wives. Both couples were seen to be enjoying the game while watching the Centre Court.

Recently, India pacer Deepak Chahar also posted a story on his Instagram account. The post hinted that he has also attended a Tennis game at Wimbledon along with his wife Jaya Bharadwaj. Chahar, who was last seen in IPL 2025 playing for Mumbai Indians, looked dapper in an all-black suit while his wife donned a beautiful white dress.

It is unlikely that the pacer will now be seen again donning India's blue jersey. Chahar remains injury-prone most of the time, which lessens his chances of being back in India's squad. However, if he works on his fitness or keeps himself away from injuries, there's no stopping him from making an international comeback.

The presence of all these cricketers at Wimbledon will help both sports to gain more popularity across the world. The cricket Wimbledon relationship has been decades old. The tournament isn’t over yet, so don’t be surprised if more cricket stars show up at the tournament.
