Nepal ICC CWC Qualifier Playoff 2027 Schedule, Squad and Qualification Scenario

Nepal will host the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Qualifier Playoff from December 4 to 21, 2026. Eight teams will compete for four available places in the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup Global Qualifier. Nepal will play all seven of their matches at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

The hosts will begin their campaign against Italy on December 4. They will also face Uganda, UAE, Jersey, Canada, Namibia and Kuwait during the round-robin stage. Here's a look at Nepal's complete schedule, probable squad and qualification scenario.

Nepal CWC Qualifier Playoff Schedule

Nepal will play seven matches during the tournament. All fixtures are scheduled to begin at 8:45 AM IST. Their first match will be played against Itali on December 4 while their last game is against Kuwait on December 21.

What Is Nepal Qualification Scenario For ICC CWC Qualifiers?

Nepal must finish among the top four teams in the eight-team playoff to advance to the Global Qualifier. The remaining four teams will be eliminated from World Cup contention. The four successful teams will join six already-qualified sides: West Indies, Ireland, USA, Scotland, Netherlands and Oman.

The 10-team Global Qualifier will determine the remaining positions in the World Cup, where some of the best cricket teams in the world will play. Only the tournament winner will qualify directly for the 2027 ODI World Cup. Teams finishing second, third and fourth will enter the Super Series. They will compete for the final World Cup spot.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has not confirmed the final squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup qualifier playoffs.
