In the latest development, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the India A captain for the unofficial Test series against South Africa A. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the two games, starting 30th October. It will be an important series featuring some of the most talented cricket players in the world

The series will mark return of Rishabh Pant to cricket after a long gap of around three months. He got injured during the Test series against England after getting hit by a Chris Woakes yorker and missed a number of important games for India. Now, he will be playing for India A before making his comeback for the senior team.

Rishabh Pant will be leading the young India A side and will be accompanied by Sai Sudharsan, who is the vice-captain of the team. The squad features a lot of big names and they would be keen to perform and make their case strong for the selection for the main South Africa series.
