Rajat Partidar career in domestic cricket began with his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Madhya Pradesh in 2015. He also made his T20 debut for Madhya Pradesh in the Zonal T20 League in 2018. In the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy, Rajat Patidar was the Leading Run scorer for Madhya Pradesh with 713 runs in 8 matches. In 2025, he led the Central Zone to the finals of the Duleep Trophy, where he also showed his exceptional batting performance, scoring a century in the first innings of the final and leading from the front.

International Career

Rajat Patidar made his One-Day International (ODI) debut for India on December 21, 2023, in a high-stakes series decider against South Africa. He showed promise right away, scoring a quick 22 runs off just 16 balls and displaying an aggressive intent at the crease. A few months later, in February 2024, Patidar was drafted into the Indian Test squad as a replacement for Virat Kohli during the home series against England.

His first season was sluggish, but he grabbed attention in 2022 when he was brought in mid-season as a replacement due to injuries.
