Shahid Afridi represented Pakistan in 524 international matches between 1996 and 2018 and remains one of the best all-rounders in the world. He scored 11,196 international runs and picked up 541 wickets across formats during his career.

In ODIs, Afridi played 398 matches, scoring 8,064 runs at a strike rate of 117 and taking 395 wickets, making him one of the best Pakistani bowlers of all time. The leg-spinner is one of those few players to achieve the double of 8,000 runs and 350 wickets in the format. He also captained Pakistan in all three formats during different phases of his career.

Afridi still holds the record for the fastest ODI century by a Pakistani batter, which he achieved after smashing a 37-ball hundred against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996. In T20Is, he has scored 1,416 runs and took 98 wickets in 99 matches. He was also named Player of the Tournament in Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup-winning campaign after taking 11 wickets and scoring crucial runs in pressure games.
