The T20 Mumbai League 2026 began with two exciting games that gave fans plenty of entertainment at the Wankhede Stadium. In the opening match, Eagle Thane Strikers comfortably defeated Bandra Blasters by nine wickets. Bandra Blasters scored 189 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. However, Eagle Thane Strikers completely dominated the chase from the beginning.

Shashwat Jagtap played a sensational, unbeaten innings and smashed a superb century. The Strikers chased down the target in only 15.2 overs after reaching 194/1 and secured one of the biggest wins of the tournament’s opening round. The second game between Aakash Tigers MWS and MSC Maratha Royals was much closer and produced a dramatic finish.

Aakash Tigers MWS put up 165/8 after batting first. In reply, MSC Maratha Royals kept fighting throughout the chase and matched the target in the final over, which pushed the contest into a Super Over. North Mumbai Panthers started their T20 Mumbai League 2026 campaign with a strong win over Triumphs Knights MNE at the Wankhede Stadium. Batting first, the Panthers scored a massive 209/5 in 20 overs. The top-order players took full advantage of the good batting pitch, as Hardik Tamore scored 67 runs while Tanush Kotian provided the quick finish with 30 runs off 15 balls.
