One of the oldest and iconic cricket stadiums in the world, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, will be hosting the T20 World Cup opening ceremony on February 7. The ceremony will be followed by India's first match of the tournament, which will be played against the USA.
The Wankhede Stadium is known to host some of the most memorable matches. The 2011 World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka was played at this ground, where former India captain MS Dhoni smashed the winning six and helped the India team to become the World Champions for the second time.
