Women's Hundred 2025
Table of content

The United Kingdom hosts The Hundred, which is a professional cricket league and the only league in the world that uses the 100-ball cricket format. As much as the format looks interesting, the games that are played are even more interesting. The Men's and Women's teams take part in the tournament that is played during July and August each year. The competition started in 2021, and this will be the fourth edition.

As the league is based in the UK, there are eight teams, with seven based in England and one in Wales. The most intriguing part of the league is that each day has double headers with men's and women's teams played on the same day and at the same venue. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has used inclusivity pretty well, setting an example for all the cricket leagues in the world.

However, the salaries of men are four times that of their female counterparts. Well, this is an issue that is yet to be tackled. Apart from that, the tournament prize money is similar. This season, the Women's Hundred is set to start on August 5, between London Spirit Women vs Oval Invincibles Women, at the Lord's. The viewers get a chance to watch their favourite teams play twice at the same venue, increasing the fun and enjoyment levels.
