The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 mega auction witnessed some intense bidding wars as franchises on November 27, in Delhi. The shocking one was where Alyssa Healy went unsold in the first round of the mega auction. She was a part of the marquee list of players with a base price of INR 50 lakhs. Interestingly, apart from her, the rest of the players in the list were sold to different franchises.

List of Top Players in WPL 2026 Auction

In the WPL 2026 mega auction, five players have been the top buys in WPL auction: Deepti Sharma, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine, Meg Lanning, and Shree Charani. With the base price being INR 50 lakhs, except for Shree Charani (INR 30 lakhs), the players have crossed INR 1 crore in the auction, which is indeed a huge achievement for them.

5. Meg Lanning

Australia's experienced batter Meg Lanning made her WPL debut in 2023, and this season she will play with the UP Warriorz Women. They bought her for INR 1.90 crores, while her base price was INR 50 lakhs. She was also the leading run-scorer in the inaugural season.

4. Sophie Devine

New Zealand's all-rounder Sophie Devine also made her debut in 2023, which was the inaugural season of the WPL. This time, Gujarat Giants Women have purchased her for INR 2 crores. She has played 18 games so far, where she has scored 402 runs and taken nine wickets as well.

The 24-year-old Amelia Kerr has already made her mark in the WPL. In 29 matches, she has scored 437 runs and has taken 40 wickets. She will play for the Mumbai Indians Women in this season once again. MI has purchased her for INR 3 crores. Kerr is an astounding all-rounder and has proved her worth since season one.

India's star all-rounder Deepti Sharma had a brilliant auction. First, she was purchased by the Delhi Capitals Women at the base price of INR 50 lakhs, but UP Warriorz used their RTM card to buy the player back into their squad. To make things even more interesting, DC increased the price to INR 3.2 crores, which the UPW matched. Hence, Deepti will now play for UP Warriorz once again in the upcoming WPL 2026.
