Vaibhav Suryavanshi - The teenage Sensation of Cricket

The 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has etched his name in the history books after making a memorable debut in IPL 2025. Playing for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), Vaibhav started his IPL career with a huge six. After a few matches, he went on to slam a century and became the youngest cricketer to reach three figures in the IPL.

He scored the century against the Gujarat Titans (GT), a team which had one of the best bowling attacks in the league, including Mohammed Siraj, Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna. Suryavanshi's performance throughout the IPL was nothing short of inspirational for the budding cricketers around his age. He has given the world a glimpse of many things to come.

Since then, he has played some of the best innings in cricket. When he travelled with the Indian team to England to play a white-ball series, he impressed the selectors with his performance. He scored a century and a half-century against the U-19 team of England. His lowest score in the series was 33, which is quite impressive for a 14-year-old player.

In the IPL, he played seven matches and scored 252 runs, at an average of 36. His highest score is 101 runs and he finished with a strike rate of 206.55. Moreover, Suryavanshi is most likely to be a part of the upcoming U-19 World Cup, where he might get a chance to open with Ayush Mhatre. Both players had a good series against England a few weeks ago.

The BCCI, which is the richest cricket board in the world, has extended its support towards helping Suryavanshi grow as a player by sending him on overseas tours. For a teenager like him, performing against some of the best bowlers in the world shows his talent and dedication. It will be interesting to watch him play in the upcoming matches as well.
