Tensions Flare as Washington Sundar, David Miller Clash in IND vs SA T20 World Cup Match

India and South Africa are clashing against each other in the third Super 8 match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 in Ahmedabad. South Africa won the toss and opted to bat first; however, the decision backfired as they lost three wickets in the powerplay.

But their most experienced player in the squad, David Miller, stepped up, using his experience, and took the Proteas out of the trouble and set a platform for a fighting total. However, during the first innings, the batter was spotted having a verbal spat with the Indian spinner Washington Sundar.

David Miller used his experience to lift South Africa from a horrible position to a commanding total earlier in the match. The Proteas lost their first three wickets on just 20 runs after four overs, and it looked as if they would be wrapped up cheaply. However, David Miller had other ideas and he showed why he is regarded as one of the best T20 batsmen in the world.

Miller started his innings carefully but was not shy to punish poor balls whenever he got the opportunity. The left-handed batter smashed 63 runs off 35 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. He was also supported well by Dewald Brevis (45) and Tristan Stubbs (44) as the Proteas managed to put up a fighting total of 187 runs, which proved to be more than enough in the end.
