The 4th match between India A and Sri Lanka A at Dambulla had some unprecedented scenes. It was a nail-biting finish between two teams that fought till the last breath. In the end, Sri Lanka A won the match in the Super Over.

After the last ball of the Super Over ended as a dot, Sri Lanka A players celebrated wildly. The players, including the bowler, Kugathas Mathulan, got into the face of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, that clearly irked the youngster. It was a thrilling Super Over in the IND-A vs SL-A match, and the hosts won in the end. Batting first, Sri Lanka A scored 16 runs off Arshad Khan's bowling. The left-arm seamer bowled well but a slot ball disturbed his bowling figures.

In reply, Mathulan put up an exhibition of death overs bowling, not allowing Suryavanshi and Shedge to score runs freely. With 12 runs needed off the last two balls, Suryavanshi, one of the most dangerous batsmen in the world currently, could only get a four through the fine leg region. With 8 runs needed off the last ball, Mathulan made sure to bowl a legal delivery and hence, took Sri Lanka home.

With this win, Sri Lanka A have moved a step ahead for the final. Meanwhile, India A will face Afghanistan A in their final league match, which will be a must-win encounter for them.
