The Goa cricket team is currently touring Oman for a T20 and a List A series. It is an important tour for Goa as they prepare for the upcoming domestic season. While most of their top quality players are on this tour, the absence of Arjun Tendulkar in Oman vs Goa series raises questions.

All-rounder Arjun Tendulkar has been playing for Goa cricket team since the 2022-23 season. He has been available for Goa most of the time but wasn't picked in Goa Squad for Oman Tour 2026.

Why Arjun Tendulkar is Not in Goa Squad For Oman Tour 2026?

According to Sportstar, Arjun Tendulkar has not communicated about his future plans with the Goa Cricket Association yet. GCA secretary Tulsidas Shetye mentioned about Arjun's situation and said that they will take a call after some time.

“He hasn’t told us anything about his availability as yet, so we are not sure if he wants to continue. We will wait for some more time and take a call accordingly,” Shetye said.

Since there is no communication between Arjun Tendulkar and Goa Cricket Association, he was not selected in Goa squad for tour of Oman. It is believed that the GCA has also started to look at other alternatives for their guest player. Currently, Lalit Yadav and Vasuki Koushik are Goa's guest players.

Arjun Tendulkar Oman Tour 2026 absence came as a surprise for the fans. The left-hander has been representing Goa for quite some time and has been doing well in white-ball cricket. Goa is being led by Vinayak Shukla in this series with former India batter Dinesh Mongia as the head coach.

As he is the son of Sachin Tendulkar, he is always in the limelight, which creates an undue pressure on his game. The left-arm quick left Mumbai during the initial stages of his career to give himself more playing opportunities at Goa.
Over the years, he has been working hard to raise his game. In the IPL, he is playing for Lucknow Super Giants after being in the Mumbai Indians squad for a no. of years. The 26-year-old will be eager to prove himself in the next IPL season.
