Brendan Taylor Ruled Out of T20 World Cup 2026

Not only this match, Brendan Taylor has also been ruled out of the whole tournament due to injury. After going through the medical tests, it was confirmed that he will no longer take part in the competition due to hamstring injury.

"Following a medical assessment, it was determined that he will not recover in time to take any further part in the competition," stated a release from Zimbabwe Cricket.

As his replacement, Zimbabwe have included Ben Curran, who is the brother of England all-rounder Sam Curran. In T20 cricket, Ben Curran has scored 872 runs at a strike rate of 126.01, with seven fifties. But, he is yet to make his debut in the T20Is. Both Ben and Sam Curran are playing this T20 World Cup, but for different teams.
