As a precautionary measure, he will not take the field on Day 1 of the warm-up game against SLC XI. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress. KL Rahul will lead the team in Gill's absence.”

The absence of Shubman Gill, one of the best batsmen in India, might be felt on Day 1 of the warm-up match, but as his progress has been monitored by the BCCI, he is most likely to be back on the field on the remaining days of the warm-up match.
