Pakistan Squads for the Bilateral Tour

The Pakistan Tour of West Indies 2025 will have separate squads for the series, with different captains for each format. Mohammad Rizwan will be leading the One-Day Series side, while Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as the captain for the T20Is series.
For the ODI Series, Pakistan has announced an experienced squad with Hasan Nawaz as their only uncapped player. The ODI series will begin on August 8 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. Meanwhile, for the T20I series, the men in Green have opted to strengthen their bowling attack after the recently concluded Bangladesh Series. They have added Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali to add experience to the younger squad. Notably, upcoming opener Hasan Nawaz has received his maiden call-up to the national team for the T20I format. He has been in good form in domestic competitions and is expected to bring fresh energy to the top order. Along with these experienced players, Faheem Ashraf has been given a chance, while Salman Mirza has been sacked from the squad.

Pakistan T20I Squad:

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wicket-keeper), Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim.

Pakistan ODI squad:

Mohammad Rizwan (captain), Salman Ali Agha (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (wicket-keeper), Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Saim Ayub, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Sufyan Moqim.

The upcoming Pakistan Tour of West Indies 2025 will mark the continuation of Pakistan's refreshed team management structure. Former Test batter Mohammed Yousof will travel with the squad as part of the coaching group, while Wahab Riaz leads the selection committee. The series will be a big test for both Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha in leadership roles. Rizwan has already established himself as one of the most reliable white-ball batters, and now he will also have the added responsibility of managing the team in high-pressure ODI games.

Pakistan has had a mixed run in International cricket recently, with inconsistency in batting and issues in their death bowling. This tour provides a valuable opportunity to test combinations, especially with a packed calendar ahead, including the T20 World Cup. For the West Indies, who have been rebuilding their side over the past few years, this series against the full-strength Pakistan team will help them check their progress.
