Pakistan appears to have chosen not to participate in the rest of the 2025 Asia Cup. Following the no handshake dispute with Team India, Pakistan's chances of participating in the remaining Asia Cup matches were not too high, making the past few days of the competition an emotional roller coaster.

Whether Andy Pycroft or Richie Richardson will officiate in the forthcoming match is still up in the air. Although Richardson's visit to Dubai has stoked rumors, there hasn't been any official confirmation as of yet.

Despite earlier plans to withdraw from the competition, Pakistan have made the critical decision not to boycott its forthcoming Asia Cup 2025 match against the United Arab Emirates. The PCB had earlier asked the players not to leave their hotel for the match, leaving the status of the match in jeopardy.

However, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi had a meeting with the former chairmen Ramiz Raja and Najam Sethi. Later, he instructed the team to leave for the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match game will now begin at 9:00 PM IST. The match referee for the next encounter has not yet been confirmed, though.
